Guard Card Training®
Security Training Center® was founded in 2003. We have provided affordable online security guard card training classes since 2011. When you take a course with us you join a community of over 100,000 successful private security officers. We are there for our students before, during, and after course completion.
We Support Our Students
Our students can reach us if they have questions about course material, regulations, or completing paperwork. We have a dedicated call center available Monday through Friday (8am to 5pm Pacific), are available by email, and you can schedule an appointment with a BSIS-licensed instructor.

Our online courses are available when you are. Complete the lessons at your pace and when it is convenient for you. The courses are accessible 24x7 from your computer or mobile device.* Each lesson is on-demand, can be paused at any time and you pick up from where you left off! Parts 1, 2, & 3; 40-hours Complete Training
This program is the complete 40-hours BSIS Guard Card course. It comprises all of Parts 1, 2 and 3. Each section must be completed according to the time schedule mandated by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.
The coursework is comprised of three (3) Parts and eleven (11) Lessons.
Cost: $84.99
8-Hours "Power to Arrest" (Guard Card)
This is the pre-assignment "Power to Arrest" course, called Part 1.
This course instructs the student on the legal aspects, techniques, liability, and company requirements relating to the arrest of an individual.
Cost: $17.99

Online System Requirements
Students must have access to an Internet-connected computer or mobile device with audio (sound). Students can use Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh, mobile phones, and tablets (iOS and Android). Audio (sound) is a critical requirement as the training is fully narrated. Over half of the information presented is in audio form. Mobile device screen size must be at least 5.5-inches.
